Making More Possible: A New Look, a New Site, and the People Behind It All

The FVRL Foundation has a new look — and a renewed sense of purpose to match.

This year, the Foundation launched a refreshed brand identity centered on a simple, powerful idea: Making More Possible. It’s a phrase that captures what the Foundation has always done — connecting donors, volunteers, and community members to the resources that make Fort Vancouver Regional Library District extraordinary — and it reflects where we’re headed.

The new brand is more than a tagline. It’s a framework for how we talk about our work, who we are, and why it matters. And at the center of that work are the Friends of the Library.

Across 13 Friends of the Library groups throughout the FVRL district, thousands of volunteers show up every day — organizing book sales, raising funds, hosting events, and advocating for their local branches. They are the heartbeat of community support for our libraries, and the Foundation is proud to serve as their fiscal sponsor, their infrastructure, and their partner. Every Friends group carries the same commitment: Making More Possible with FVRL Foundation.

That partnership is the foundation of everything we do. When a capital campaign takes shape — like the effort to build a brand-new library in Washougal — the Foundation leads the charge, and the Friends are there rallying their communities alongside us. When FVRL hosts events for the community, the Friends show up to make them memorable. It’s a relationship built on shared belief: that libraries change lives, and that communities are stronger when they invest in them.

Our new website brings that story to life in one place. Whether you’re a longtime donor, a first-time visitor, or a volunteer wondering how to get more involved, you’ll find the resources, the stories, and the ways to connect that reflect what this organization is really about.

Because all of it — the brand, the website, the campaigns, the volunteer hours — exists for one reason: to support FVRL and the communities it serves. That’s the mission. That’s what making more possible looks like in practice.

And we’re just getting started.
