Branch Manager, Columbia Bank - Salmon Creek

Val Berrissoul is the Branch Manager of the Salmon Creek Branch of Columbia Bank and oversees a staff of seven.

Berrissoul's team at Salmon Creek provides excellent customer service and builds lasting relationships. Commercial loans are her specialty! She has been in the banking industry for 37 years and joined Columbia Bank in 2012. Berrissoul has lived in Vancouver for the majority of her life except for a 2 year adventure at the Seaside Branch. She is active in the community as a member of both the Battle Ground and Vancouver Chambers, Salmon Creek, Hazel Dell, East Vancouver, and the Vancouver Downtown Business Associations, an active member of the Greater Clark County Rotary and a Leadership Clark County Alum. She enjoys networking and volunteering her time to promote small businesses in the area, as well as, reading, gardening and spending time with her family.

Why the Library:

"Libraries have always been a constant in my life. The libraries of my childhood were always the heart of the school and the public library was where I went with my Mom. In high school my Librarian introduced me to Science Fiction/ Fantasy and Mr. Tolkien, who taught me that “not all those who wander are lost”. The library was my first volunteer opportunity and also my first job. As an FVRL Foundation Board member I hope to provide support to an institution that has been an inspiration to me and so many others."
