How to contribute

There is no greater treasure of knowledge in Southwest Washington than Fort Vancouver Regional Library District and no other institution that will benefit more from your support. Gifts now to FVRL Foundation will support programs at the FVRL District that will aid us all not only in our present, but also in our future.

Gifts of securities have advantages for donors, especially if they have appreciated over the years. Capital gains to the donor are generally avoided and a significantly larger gift to FVRL Foundation may be realized.

Contact us for more information on making gifts of stocks or securities.

FVRL Foundation is now accepting book donations at its new location! Books must be clean and in good to excellent condition; hardback fiction books should have their dust jackets. We also accept DVDs and audiobooks that are in very good to excellent condition. All discs must be included (if there are multiple discs for each item).

We are unable to accept books that smell of smoke or are dirty, water-damaged, mildewed, or in otherwise poor condition. Other items that we CANNOT accept include: encyclopedias, magazines, cassette or VHS tapes, CDs (except audiobooks), sheet music, excessive copies of the same title, or out-of-date technology, travel, or reference books.

Our donation hours are Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

If you would like to donate books to the Foundation, please email us at at least one business day before you want to come in to make sure we’ll be onsite and not in meetings. We will send you directions and drop-off instructions.

If you have any questions, or if you have an item that you are unsure that we can accept, please call us at 360-906-4700.

Donated books are offered for sale through our online vendor, and funds generated from the sale of these books are used to help support Fort Vancouver Regional Libraries’ programs and services.

FVRL Foundation gladly accepts non-monetary gifts:
