2022 Washougal Novel Night Fundraiser

Washougal - Fort Vancouver Regional Library Foundation, FVRLibraries and Friends of Washougal Community Library are inviting supporters and book lovers to Novel Night, a Farm-to-table fundraiser for the Washougal Library Building Project to be held Saturday, august 6 from 5-9 p.m. at the Get-To-Gather Farm in Washougal.

“Farm-to-table dining is really popular right now,” said Judy Musa, business development officer for the Fort Vancouver Regional Library Foundation.  “This feels like the right time to hold an event that brings people together to enjoy healthy, delicious food and showcase local farmers and their produce.”

The event cost is $60 per person and will feature dinner, silent and live auctions, music, and no-host wine, beer, and cocktails.

“We are also excited to display the updated conceptual designs of the new Washougal library,” Musa said. “Hacker Architects will be on hand to talk about the conceptual designs for the new library and answer questions. We hope our supporters will enjoy a come-as-you-are, casual evening. It is going to be a lot of fun and raise needed funds for our new library.”

The property for the new library, located at the intersection of Main Street and Durgan Street, is close to the Washougal Post Office and the public Reflection Plaza. Fort Vancouver Regional Library (FVRL) is working to build a Washougal Community Library that will provide more materials, resources, internet, and computer access, as well as a larger space for meetings, programs and workshops.

Sponsors for the event include Get To-Gather Farm, Simply Thyme Catering, Riverview Community Bank, 54-40 Brewing, Pacific Seafood, Northwest Book Pros, Guild Mortgage, IQ Credit Union, Courtney Wilkinson of Country Financial, Columbia River Realty, Blaine Peterson of Edward Jones, and various local farmers.  Several organizations are already stepping up to volunteer, including Camas Lions, Washougal Eagles, Aerie and Auxiliary, Washougal Kiwanis, Moose Auxiliary, Camas-Washougal Rotary, WHS Interact and Boy Scouts.

Tickets for the 21-and-over event can be purchased at novelnight.eventbrite.com.  For more information call 360-906-4700 or email foundation@fvrl.org.
