Lucas Cole

Owner, Farmers Insurance Agency

Lucas Cole moved to the Northwest in 1998 after having grown up in New York State, which allowed him to learn a love for the arts and his local library. Lucas graduated from Portland State University in 2001. He has worked for Farmers Insurance for the past seventeen years; fourteen of those years were spent as a Claims Representative. In this role, Lucas had the opportunity to provide support to customers in Alabama, South Dakota, Arizona, Oregon and Washington. In 2015, Lucas opened his own insurance agency with Farmers. He is married to his lovely wife, Traci, and is the proud father of two boys ages 9 and 15. His community service activities include partnering with the St. Johns Center for Opportunity, the Fort Vancouver Regional Library Foundation summer reading program, Suits for Soldiers, and our local schools. Lucas also serves as the Marketing Chair for Impactful People Northwest.

Why the Library:
"Every individual on this planet needs to have access to reading.  Of all the skills our children learn, reading is the most important.  I have seen what worlds reading can open up for both my children and myself. Learning is a lifetime task and given that the library should be a focus point for the community."
